Yes, we are now living in very serious times. Get ready. Help others to get ready. God's Judgments will be coming but mixed with mercy. Nashville will be hit with a fireball. Other cities will follow with the same. Yet God still pleads for mankind to repent and keep His commandments which include the seventh day Sabbath. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. John 1:12
Has God no living church? He has a church, but it is the church militant, not the church triumphant. We are sorry that there are defective members, that there are tares amid the wheat.... Although there are evils existing in the church, and will be until the end of the world, the church in these last days is to be the light of the world that is polluted and demoralized by sin. The church, enfeebled and defective, needing to be reproved, warned, and counseled, is the only object upon earth upon which Christ bestows His supreme regard.—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 45, 49 (1893). The bulwarks of Satan will never triumph. Victory will attend the third angel's message. As the Captain of the Lord's host tore down the walls of Jericho, so will the Lord's commandment-keeping people triumph, and all opposing elements be defeated.—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 410 (1898).
Not long ago a very impressive scene passed before me. I saw an immense ball of fire falling among some beautiful mansions, causing their instant destruction. I heard some one say, "We knew that the judgments of God were coming upon the earth, but we did not know that they would come so soon." Others said, "You knew? Why then did you not tell us? Chapter Title: The Revelation
Christ is represented as holding the seven stars in His right hand. This assures us that no church faithful to its trust need fear coming to nought, for not a star that has the protection of Omnipotence can be plucked out of the hand of Christ.
The church militant is not the church triumphant, and earth is not heaven. The church is composed of erring, imperfect men and women, who are but learners in the school of Christ, to be trained, disciplined, educated, for this life and for the future, immortal life.—The Signs of the Times, January 4, 1883. Some people seem to think that upon entering the church they will have their expectations fulfilled, and meet only with those who are pure and perfect. They are zealous in their faith, and when they see faults in church members, they say, “We left the world in order to have no association with evil characters, but the evil is here also;” and they ask, as did the servants in the parable, “From whence then hath it tares?” But we need not be thus disappointed, for the Lord has not warranted us in coming to the conclusion that the church is perfect; and all our zeal will not be successful in making the church militant as pure as the church triumphant.—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 47 (1893). The Church Triumphant Will Be Faithful and Christlike
The work is soon to close. The members of the church militant who have proved faithful will become the church triumphant.—Evangelism, 707 (1892). LDE 62.1
The life of Christ was a life charged with a divine message of the love of God, and He longed intensely to impart this love to others in rich measure. Compassion beamed from His countenance, and His conduct was characterized by grace, humility, truth, and love. Every member of His church militant must manifest the same qualities, if he would join the church triumphant.—Fundamentals of Christian Education, 179 (1891).
Now the scare around the year 2000 comes to mind and people thought it to be the end of the world. Now we are over a couple decades later.
We need to be careful we don't run ahead of the Lord or stay behind. God has promised to tell us if we ask him, when to sell our homes and put it in the work. He knows, if it wouldn't be a very good market or if we were supposed to have sold our homes and didn't we would be guilty of miss using the Lords means. Let Him guide you.
Maybe it's now for some. (I actually wrote this many years ago so who knows about the market now.) Update: as of March 2024 not a good time to sell.
I saw that a sacrifice did not increase, but it decreased and was consumed. I also saw that God had not required all of His people to dispose of their property at the same time, but if they desired to be taught, He would teach them, in a time of need, when to sell and how much to sell. Some have been required to dispose of their property in times past to sustain the advent cause, while others have been permitted to keep theirs until a time of need. Then, as the cause needs it, their duty is to sell.--EW 56, 57
Has anyone seen many being deceived by saying they are Christ? Watch for it.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. Matt 24:5
We are not to be troubled with wars and rumors of wars but we are to press together.
And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Let us be pressing together? We are hearing this now.
The judgments of God are in the land. The wars and rumors of wars, the destruction by fire and flood, say clearly that the time of trouble, which is to increase until the end, is very near at hand. As never before we need to press together, serving Him who has prepared His throne in the heavens and whose kingdom ruleth over all. God has not forsaken His people, and our strength lies in not forsaking Him. WM 136
I don't think we should put our trust in non believers or those who believe in a false ecumenism.
We are called to call people out of Babylon and when the Sunday law begins it begins here and will spread around the world and there will be safety for none except those who trust in God by faith.
Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here [is] Christ, or there; believe [it] not. Matt. 24:23
We are reminded on our money, In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. Ps 56:11
Yet to be is a true revival in the church.
In the book The Great Controvesy page 464 regular hardback paging we read. Before the final visitation of God's judgments upon the earth there will be among the people of the Lord such a revival of primitive godliness as has not been witnessed since apostolic times. The Spirit and power of God will be poured out upon His children. At that time many will separate themselves from those churches in which the love of this world has supplanted love for God and His word. Many, both of ministers and people, will gladly accept those great truths which God has caused to be proclaimed at this time to prepare a people for the Lord's second coming.
The shaking is coming by the true witness with the straight testimony.
What should we do and what is our position? Let's be on the Lord's side.
Wickedness is reaching a height never before attained, and yet many ministers of the gospel are crying, " Peace and safety." But God's faithful messengers are to go steadily forward with their work. Clothed with the panoply of heaven, they are to advance fearlessly and victoriously, never ceasing their warfare until every soul within their reach shall have received the message of truth for this time. {AA 220.1}
Let's hear it.

The enemy of souls desires to hinder this work; and before the time for such a movement shall come, he will endeavor to prevent it by introducing a counterfeit. In those churches which he can bring under his deceptive power he will make it appear that God's special blessing is poured out; there will be manifest what is thought to be great religious interest. Multitudes will exult that God is working marvelously for them, when the work is that of another spirit. Under a religious guise, Satan will seek to extend his influence over the Christian world.
I understand SDA schools will be closing before the end. Will there be another Pandemic closing of schools soon?
We are told that the book work and the medical missionary work will
be the final work to be done.
We need to be thinking of country living and gardens.

The Lord will arise to shake terribly the earth. We shall see troubles on all sides. Thousands of ships will be hurled into the depths of the sea. Navies will go down, (navies going down that won't be nice to see) and human lives will be sacrificed by millions. (WWIII may bring this and also may be yet to happen) Fires will break out unexpectedly(yes), and no human effort will be able to quench them. The palaces of earth will be swept away in the fury of the flames. Disasters by rail will become more and more frequent; confusion, collision, and death without a moment's warning will occur on the great lines of travel. The end is near, probation is closing. Oh, let us seek God while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near!

Human agents are being trained and are using their inventive power to put into operation the most powerful machinery to wound and to kill. (I think so)

Last Friday morning [August 24, 1906], just before I awoke, a very impressive scene was presented before me. I seemed to awake from sleep but was not in my home. From the windows I could behold a terrible conflagration. Great balls of fire were falling upon houses, and from these balls fiery arrows were flying in every direction. It was impossible to check the fires that were kindled, and many places were being destroyed. The terror of the people was indescribable.
No national Sunday law yet. But that could change fast. In fact they may put in an Act or something of that nature, destroying a main principle of our constitution, the 1st amendment. Both sides of government seem to be headed to the unification of church and state now. July 2022
So if you can think of what must be in our timeline please share so we can move when it's time to move and not before so as to get ahead of the Lord.
It may be time to head for the hills for some for we have much counsel as to our disposition and what does the Lord tell those who are waiting His return?
Christ, the Master of the household, has gone to prepare for us mansions in the heavenly city. We are waiting for His return. Let us honor Him in His absence by doing with faithfulness the work He has placed in our hands. Waiting, watching, working, we are to prepare for His return. If we are faithful, if we serve Him with full purpose of heart, (laying down conditions here) He will receive us with the gracious words, "Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." He will receive us with honor. To us will be given a crown of glory that fadeth not away, and a new name, "which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it." Those who follow Christ here will one day "follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth." {ST, July 9, 1902par. 11}
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Phl 4:6

Ellen White identifies herself with the Laodicean church but we must assume she has no part in the condition. She is not of the Philadelphia church she uses the word us in conjunction with the Laodicean church.

Chapter Title: MR No. 81 - God's Rebuke to Laodicea
The Message to the Laodiceans.- -God is leading out a people. He has a chosen people, a church on the earth, whom He has made the depositaries of His law. He has committed to them sacred trust and eternal truth to be given to the world. He would reprove and correct them. The message to the Laodiceans is applicable to Seventh-day Adventists who have had great light and have not walked in the light. It is those who have made great profession, but have not kept in step with their Leader, that will be spewed out of His mouth unless they repent. The message to pronounce the Seventh-day Adventist Church Babylon, and call the people of God out of her, does not come from any heavenly messenger, or any human agent inspired by the Spirit of God.
Sister White speaks of those who remain in a Laodicean state.

Chapter Title: Chapter 12 - The Last Days
The ministers should not feel that they have some wonderful advanced ideas, and unless all receive these, they will be shaken out, and a people will arise to go forward and upward to the victory. Satan's object is accomplished just as surely when people run ahead of Christ and do the work He has never entrusted to their hands, as when they remain in the Laodicean state, lukewarm, feeling rich and increased with goods, and in need of nothing. The two classes are equally stumbling blocks.
Where is the shaking going to be?
I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen. I was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony called forth by the counsel of the true Witness to the Laodiceans. It will have its effect upon the heart of the receiver of the testimony, and it will lead him to exalt the standard and pour forth the straight truth. This straight testimony some will not bear. They will rise up against it, and this will cause a shaking among God’s people.
I saw that the testimony of the True Witness has not been half heeded. The solemn testimony upon which the destiny of the church hangs, has been lightly esteemed, if not entirely disregarded. This testimony must work deep repentance, and all that truly receive it, will obey it, and be purified.
Keep the Faith and remember the words of Jude when he wrote
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort [you] that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
In fact being close to the very end and being that the book work and medical missionary work are to be carried on I will close with these
Do medical missionary work. Thus you will gain access to the hearts of the people. The way will be prepared for more decided proclamation of the truth. You will find that relieving their physical suffering gives an opportunity to minister to their spiritual needs. . . . {Ev 514.1}
Instruction has been given me that the important books containing the light that God has given regarding Satan's apostasy in heaven should be given a wide circulation just now; for through them the truth will reach many minds. Patriarchs and Prophets, Daniel and the Revelation, and The Great Controversy are needed now as never before. They should be widely circulated because the truths they emphasize will open many blind eyes. . . . Many of our people have been blind to the importance of the very books that were most needed. The matter of presenting true principles of health and temperance must not be passed over as unessential; for nearly every family needs to be instructed on this point. Nearly every person needs to have his conscience aroused to become a doer of the Word of God, practicing self-denial, and abstaining from the unlawful indulgence of appetite. When you make the people intelligent concerning the principles of health reform you do much to prepare the way for the introduction of present truth. Said my Guide, "Educate, educate, educate." Said my Guide, "There is much light yet to shine forth from the law of God and the gospel of righteousness. This message, understood in its true character, and proclaimed in the Spirit, will lighten the earth with its glory. "The purpose of our health institutions is not first and foremost to be that of hospitals. The health institutions connected with the closing work of the gospel in the earth stand for the great principles of the gospel in all its fullness. Christ is the one to be revealed in all the institutions connected with the closing work, but none of them can do it so fully as the health institution where the sick and suffering come for relief and deliverance from both physical and spiritual ailment. Many of these need, like the paralytic of old, the forgiveness of sin the first thing, and they need to learn how to ‘go, and sin no more.' {RH, October 29, 1914par. 7}Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Rom 15:12,13
Another point which is very obviously headed in that direction. Religious aggression will subvert our liberties in America.
As
religious aggression subverts the liberties of our nation, those who
would stand for freedom of conscience will be placed in unfavorable
positions. For their own sake, they should, while they have opportunity,
become intelligent in regard to disease, its causes, prevention, and
cure. And those who do this will find a field of labor anywhere. There
will be suffering ones, plenty of them, who will need help, not only
among those of our own faith, but largely among those who know not the
truth.
The time is not far distant when the test will come to every soul. The mark of the beast will be urged upon us. Those who have step by step yielded to worldly demands and conformed to worldly customs will not find it a hard matter to yield to the powers that be, rather than subject themselves to derision, insult, threatened imprisonment, and death. The contest is between the commandments of God and the commandments of men. In this time the gold will be separated from the dross in the church. True godliness will be clearly distinguished from the appearance and tinsel of it. Many a star that we have admired for its brilliancy will then go out in darkness. Chaff like a cloud will be borne away on the wind, even from places where we see only floors of rich wheat. All who assume the ornaments of the sanctuary, but are not clothed with Christ's righteousness, will appear in the shame of their own nakedness.
When trees without fruit are cut down as cumberers of the ground, when multitudes of false brethren are distinguished from the true, then the hidden ones will be revealed to view, and with hosannas range under the banner of Christ. Those who have been timid and self-distrustful will declare themselves openly for Christ and His truth. The most weak and hesitating in the church will be as David—willing to do and dare. The deeper the night for God's people, the more brilliant the stars. Satan will sorely harass the faithful; but, in the name of Jesus, they will come off more than conquerors. Then will the church of Christ appear “fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners.” 5T page 81.1,2
In this fearful time, just before Christ is to come the second time, God's faithful preachers will have to bear a still more pointed testimony than was borne by John the Baptist. A responsible, important work is before them; and those who speak smooth things, God will not acknowledge as His shepherds. A fearful woe is upon them.

I for one, hope to be a faithful SDA Christian, trusting in the Lord, in the true church, which includes the GC, although the GC hasn't stood for religious liberty of late and is following the climate change narrative besides promoting other than the KJV and mistakenly favors the modern versions which are deadly for your soul. Jesus will come soon, so be mindful of the things that must take place before Jesus comes the second time. You must take advantage of the time we have.
I would say that things are heating up. I think you can see that. He hasn't delayed the harvest 3 or 4 months and Jesus says the fields are white for the harvest. Let's work to hasten His coming by His grace. Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. The Sunday Law will come and change the face of Aventism.
Christ's servants are grieved as they see true and false believers mingled in the church. They long to do something to cleanse the church. Like the servants of the householder, they are ready to uproot the tares. But Christ says to them, "Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
