Reviving some of the old Bible stories for there is power in God's word to make that renewing grace in our lives.
Why do I say that? Well let's start now with a few texts. This is easy!
First: John 1:12, 13 KJV But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the son's of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
1. Receive him
2. He gives power
3. Believe on his name
4. Born of God and not because you were born into it because of a blood line. Not because some man told you so. Not by the power of your will. Oh much prayer helps. Study his word. Power in the word. Just talk to God in Jesus name. Obey!
5. Become sons. Daughters too of course.
Second:
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, Which liveth and abideth for ever. 1 Peter 1:22, 23 KJV
How does this take place? Well,
1. Through the Spirit of God
2. By studying God's Word
3. Your faith and acceptance with obedience.
One more text on faith. God gives you a measure of faith but how do you get more?
Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 KJV
